This room so carefully prepared –
I’m touched.
But the warmed pastel gown soon betrays my breasts
And provides scant shield from prying x-ray eyes.
Soft, sweet drapes in peach are sharply negated
By needle-stick bins.
And opaque, flat film reduces my femininity
To predictive shadows.
